Texas Rangers announce 2018 Opening Day roster
Arlington, Texas -- The Texas Rangers made the following roster moves today to get to the opening day limit of 25 players:
--Selected the contract of RHP Kevin Jepsen from Triple-A Round Rock.
--Designated 1B Tommy Joseph, who was on option to Double-A Frisco, for assignment.
--Placed four players on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to March 26:
RHP Tony Barnette (lower back strain)
RHP Tim Lincecum (blister on right middle finger)
LHP Martin Perez (recovery from right elbow surgery)
RHP Ricardo Rodriguez (right biceps tendinitis)

INFIELDERS (5): Elvis Andrus, Adrian Beltre, Joey Gallo, Rougned Odor, Jurickson Profar.
OUTFIELDERS (6): Shin-Soo Choo, Delino DeShields, Nomar Mazara, Drew Robinson, Ryan Rua, Carlos Tocci.
10-DAY DL (4): RHP Tony Barnette, RHP Tim Lincecum, LHP Martin Perez, RHP Ricardo Rodriguez.
60-DAY DL (3): RHP Clayton Blackburn, RHP Ronald Herrera, LHP Joe Palumbo.
The Rangers have 40 players on their major league roster.
Texas opens the 2018 season on Thursday against the Houston Astros at Globe Life Park in Arlington at 2:40 p.m.
