UMPS CARE Official Leadership Program

Registration for the UMPS CARE Official Leadership Program hosted at the Texas Rangers Youth Academy is open now at rangers.com/academy.

Teens 13-20 years old interested in officiating baseball or softball can sign up for the free six-week course, where they’ll learn the ins and outs of umpiring and find out how they can get paid to officiate.

No prior experience is required, and upon completion of the course, students will be connected with local umpire assignors to start their on-field work.

Participants will receive access to equipment, UMPS CARE goodies and the opportunity to meet Major League umpires before an upcoming Texas Rangers game.

The two-hour classes will begin at 6:30 p.m. every Monday from Aug. 21 to Oct. 2. Registration will remain open at rangers.com/academy until the course reaches capacity.
