Roster move

LHP Josh Smoker (#53) has been recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis to take the place of RHP Joe Musgrove on the active roster. Musgrove was placed on the 10-day D.L. yesterday.
Smoker went 3-1 with a 2.59 ERA (31.1ip/9er) and 35 strikeouts in 28 games with Indianapolis this season, having been charged with just two earned runs in his last 15 outings (18.2ip), dating back to May 24. 
Smoker began the season with the Pirates before being optioned to Indy on April 12. In five games with Pittsburgh this season, the 29-year-old Smoker has allowed nine hits and four runs in 4.0ip.
