White Sox announce two roster moves

CHICAGO – Prior to tonight’s game vs. Seattle, the Chicago White Sox announced the following two roster moves:

Martin, 27, has thrown 7.2 scoreless IP with seven strikeouts over two starts with Charlotte since being reinstated from the minor-league 60-day injured list on July 12. He appeared in five injury rehabilitation games between the Arizona Complex League White Sox and Class A Winston-Salem to continue his recovery from Tommy John surgery performed in May 2023.

Martin went 3-6 with a 4.83 ERA (34 ER/63.1 IP) and 48 strikeouts over 14 appearances (nine starts) with the White Sox in 2022, his only season in the majors.

Peralta owns a 3.00 ERA (2 ER/6.0 IP) with one hold and four strikeouts in four relief appearances over two stints with the White Sox this season. He recorded a career-high 4.1 scoreless IP last night vs. Seattle.
