Yankees acquire OF Aldenis Sanchez

The Yankees have acquired OF Aldenis Sanchez from the Tampa Bay Rays as the player to be named later in the 6/17/21 trade in which the Yankees also acquired cash considerations in exchange for INF Mike Ford.

Sanchez, 22, has combined to hit .291 (163-for-561) with 100R, 19 doubles, 6 triples, 1HR, 56RBI, 60BB and 61SB in 150 games over four minor league seasons in the Rays organization (2017-19, ’21). The Santo Domingo, D.R., native was originally signed by Tampa Bay as a non-drafted free agent on 8/12/16.
