White Sox announce two roster moves

CHICAGO – Prior to today’s series finale vs. Minnesota, the Chicago White Sox made the following two roster moves:

• Recalled from Class AAA Charlotte (1): LHP Jared Shuster;
• Optioned to Charlotte (1): RHP Prelander Berroa;

Shuster, 25, is 0-1 with a 6.39 ERA (9 ER/12.2 IP) in three starts with Charlotte this season. He also has made two relief appearances in two previous stints with the White Sox, allowing one run on five hits with four strikeouts over 6.1 IP (1.42 ERA).

Berroa, 24, made his season debut with the Sox last night, throwing 0.1 scoreless IP after being recalled from Charlotte on Sunday.
