CHICAGO - Prior to tonight’s game at Seattle, the Chicago White Sox announced the following three roster moves:

Thorpe, 23, is scheduled to make his major-league debut tonight at T-Mobile Park. He is 7-1 with a 1.35 ERA (9 ER/60.0 IP), 0.87 WHIP, .170 (35-206) opponents average, three home runs allowed and 56 strikeouts over 11 starts with Birmingham this season. He owns a 0.76 ERA (2 ER/23.2 IP), 0.72 WHIP and 23 strikeouts over his last four starts since May 18, including two scoreless outings.

Thorpe ranks among the Southern League leaders in ERA (1st), wins (1st), winning percentage (2nd, .875), WHIP (2nd), opponents average (T3rd) and IP (5th), and his 1.35 ERA is the third-best among pitchers in the Top 4 levels of Minor League Baseball. He will wear uniform No. 33.

Thorpe currently is ranked No. 41 by Baseball America and No. 54 by MLB.com among the Top 100 prospects in baseball. He is ranked by both outlets as the No. 3 prospect in the White Sox system behind INF Colson Montgomery and LHP Noah Schultz, and the No. 10 right-handed pitching prospect in baseball. Thorpe was named Southern League Pitcher of the Month for April, going 4-1 with a 1.20 ERA (4 ER/30.0 IP), .184 (19-103) opponents average, seven walks and 28 strikeouts over five starts.

Thorpe is 21-3 with a 2.17 ERA (48 ER/199.1 IP), 0.95 WHIP, .191 (134-700) opponents average and 238 strikeouts in 34 starts over two minor-league seasons in the San Diego (2023) and Chicago (2024) systems. He was acquired on March 13 from the Padres with right-handed pitchers Jairo Iriarte and Steven Wilson and outfielder Samuel Zavala in exchange for right-hander Dylan Cease.

Peralta, 26, has made one appearance with the White Sox since his contract was selected from Class AAA Charlotte on Sunday. He has thrown 3.2 scoreless IP over three relief appearances with Charlotte this season since being reacquired off waivers from Seattle on May 26.

Leone, 32, has been on the injured list since May 21 with right elbow inflammation. He is 0-1 with a 7.04 ERA (12 ER/15.1 IP), three holds and 15 strikeouts in 18 relief outings with Chicago this season.

Following the moves, the White Sox 40-man roster remains at 40.
