White Sox Announce Roster Moves

PHOENIX - Prior to today’s series finale at Arizona, the Chicago White Sox announced the following roster moves:

• Contract Selected from Class AAA Charlotte and Optioned to Charlotte (1): C Chuckie Robinson;
• Designated for Assignment (1): OF Duke Ellis.

Robinson, 29, is hitting .234 (34-145) with four doubles, six home runs, 25 RBI and 16 runs scored over 41 games with Charlotte in 2024. He ranks among the International League catchers in RBI (7th) and homers (T7th). Robinson was signed by the White Sox as a minor-league free agent on December 7, 2023.

Ellis, who was optioned to Charlotte on Wednesday, went 0-4 with a run scored and four stolen bases in his first eight major-league games with the Sox this season. He is hitting .250 (32-128) with one homer, 12 RBI, 24 runs scored and 34 steals (36 attempts) in 41 games between Class AA Birmingham and Charlotte.

Following the moves, the White Sox 40-man roster remains at 40.
