What's happening this week at Phillies-Braves series, July 25-27

On Monday, July 25, the Phillies will kick off a three-game series against the Atlanta Braves at Citizens Bank Park. Here’s a look at the promotions and fun surrounding the games, as well as other know before you go information.

1. Get ready for Monday’s 7:05 p.m. series opener! Highlights include the Phillies Ballgirls Christmas in July Toy Drive and recognition of the Phillies Carpenter Cup champions presented by Nike. As part of Temple University Night, there will be ceremonial first pitches by Temple University President Jason Wingard and Claire Smith, the first woman sportswriter to be honored by the National Baseball Hall of Fame and co-director of the future Claire Smith Center for Sports Media.
• Fans are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys to any gate until the third inning.
• Stop by the First Base Plaza, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m., to meet and receive autographs by student-athletes from Temple’s football team and spirit squad.
• Prior to the game, the Phillies will recognize on-field Tri-Cape, champions of the Phillies Baseball Carpenter Cup, and Mid Penn, Phillies Softball Carpenter Cup champions. Presented by Nike, these tournaments give the best high school players in the tri-state area the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of major league and/or college scouts.

2. Also at Monday’s game, AstraZeneca’s Survivors Have Heart program and the Phillies are joining forces to raise heart health awareness. Survivors Have Heart is a national community-building movement powered by stories of heart attack survivors and their loved ones.
• Bob Harper – host of _The Biggest Loser_, best-selling author and heart attack survivor – will throw a ceremonial first pitch to shine a light on the cause.
• The evening will also bring attention to the life-saving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) skills that saved many of its members, including Harper himself.
• Stop by the Third Base Plaza to view the Survivors Have Heart Second Chance portraits, captured by Harper. Complimentary wristbands will also be given out.

3. On Tuesday, July 26, Lauren Gardner, host of MLB Network’s _Off Base_, will throw a ceremonial first pitch in honor of MLB Network Night, before the 7:05 p.m. game. The Phillies will also honor their RBI Coaches of the Year; plus join the fun in the pregame Mickey Morandini Cornhole Classic.
• Fans ages 14 and under will receive an MLB Network Tote Bag upon entry. Plus, enjoy the MLB Network inflatable speed pitch at the Third Base Plaza.
• Also at the Third Base Plaza, take on 1993 NL champs Mickey Morandini and Milt Thompson (also the 2008 world champion hitting coach) in a game of cornhole for a $5 minimum donation to Phillies Charities. Winners will take home a prize!
• On-field, the Phillies will recognize their Jr. RBI Coach of the Year, Lisa Mundy of Parkwood Jr. RBI, and RBI Coach of the Year, Jose Rivera of Feliz Philadelphia RBI.

4. Nemours Children’s Health Kids Run the Bases takes place after Wednesday’s 12:35 p.m. Citizens Businessperson’s Special game!
• Fans 14 and under can enjoy a special opportunity to run the bases like a major leaguer following the game.

• Also, representing the Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival, which is illuminating Franklin Square until August 6, will be a Diabolo performer using strings to balance and juggle lighted orbs at the First Base Plaza.

5. Bid on signed items at the Phillies Charities, Inc. Auction! Zack Wheeler, Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper autographed items are among the memorabilia up for bid until noon on Thursday, July 28, via the MLB Ballpark App (available on iOS and Android devices only).

6. The Phillies and KLYR Rum are recognizing first responders and military heroes for their service as KLYR Rum K-Counters of the Game: United States Army SSgt Salih Wright (Monday), United States Army Sgt1C Jessie George (Tuesday) and United States Army Sgt Darren McGonigle (Wednesday).
• Each hero will be recognized on PhanaVision, as well as have the unique experience of operating the new K-Counter in Section 148, which will showcase every strike out thrown by a Phillies pitcher.

Other need-to-know information:
Broadcast: All games will be broadcast on NBCSP and available via live stream for authenticated subscribers on NBC Sports Philadelphia’s MyTeams app. All games will broadcast on 94 WIP and WTTM 1680.
To expedite entry: Guests are prohibited from bringing bags, including backpacks, into the ballpark. Only clutch purses (12”x 12” x 1”), fanny packs, medical bags, clear or solid tote bags and diaper bags will be permitted into Citizens Bank Park.

Parking lots: Parking for Phillies games is cashless. Methods of payment include credit/debit cards and mobile payment (Apple Pay and Google Pay). To expedite entry, pre-paid parking passes may also be purchased prior to the game. Tailgating lots (M, N & O) will open 5 hours prior to first pitch and non-tailgating lots will open 3 hours prior.
Gate Openings: All gates open 90 minutes before game time.

Safety guidelines: In accordance with the City’s safety guidelines, fans are strongly encouraged to wear masks in indoor spaces at the ballpark including the Diamond Club, retail stores, elevators and restrooms. Fans are reminded to bring their own mask if they will be at one of the previously mentioned areas at Citizens Bank Park.
