Two Minor League players suspended
The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that two Minor League players have been suspended.
Seattle Mariners Minor League pitcher Yeury Tatiz, who is currently on the roster of the Single-A Modesto Nuts of the California League, has received an 80-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Clomiphene, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Joint Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
Boston Red Sox Minor League pitcher Charlie Zink, who is currently on the roster of the Dominican Summer League Red Sox, has received a 56-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Drug Prevention and Treatment Program for Minor League players assigned outside of the United States and Canada.
