Twins announce in-ballpark ceremonies for Games 3 and 4 of ALDS at Target Field
MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – The 2023 American League Central Division champion Minnesota Twins today announced in-ballpark festivities for Games 3 and 4 of the best-of-five American League Division Series, set for tomorrow and Wednesday at Target Field. After the Twins and Houston Astros split Games 1 and 2 this weekend at Minute Maid Park, Game 3 is scheduled for a 3:07 p.m. CT first pitch tomorrow (Tuesday, October 10). Game 4 will be played Wednesday, October 11 at either 1:07 p.m. CT (if the Baltimore Orioles vs. Texas Rangers ALDS also needs a Game 4) or 6:07 p.m. CT (if the Orioles-Rangers ALDS ends in 3 games).

Gate Giveaway – Homer Hanky presented by Star Tribune and CUB: Every fan in attendance at Target Field for Game 3 of the ALDS will receive a free “We Believe” 2023 Homer Hanky™ presented by the Star Tribune and CUB.
Ceremonial First Pitch – Batterymates Reunite: Twins Hall of Famer and two-time American League Cy Young Award winner Johan Santana will throw out Game 3’s ceremonial first pitch to his former Minnesota batterymate, fellow Twins Hall of Famer and 2009 AL Most Valuable Player, Joe Mauer.
Rosters and Starting Lineups: In Postseason tradition, the rosters and starting lineups for both the Twins and the Astros will be introduced along the first- and third-base lines, respectively. The Twins’ lineup will be accompanied by a special pyrotechnics display.
National Anthem: The “Star-Spangled Banner” will be performed by Minneapolis-based vocalist Aby Wolf, backed by a quintet from the internationally-renowned, Grammy Award-winning Minnesota Orchestra (Manny Laureano, trumpet; Lynn Erickson, trumpet; Ellen Dinwiddie Smith, horn; Felix Regalado, trombone; and Andy Chappell, bass trombone).
Wolf, a vocalist, music maker and passionate collaborator with an elastic skillset, has performed everywhere from Brainerd to Bratislava to Beijing – always with a palpable element of joy. Her latest EP “Dream Fruit” explores themes of climate anxiety, interconnectedness and collective potential; this month, Wolf will celebrate the release of her long-awaited debut LP with 12-player progressive chamber ensemble Champagne Confetti.

Giant American Flag: A group of Twins Season Ticket Holders will unfurl a giant American flag in the outfield.
American Flag: The American flag in the Gate 34 area will be raised Army Captain Pamela Barrows, a Vietnam veteran. After finishing nursing school in Denver, Pamela joined the Army in 1967 at age 21, deployed to Vietnam in March 1968 and served with the 71st Evacuation Hospital in Pleiku until returning home in March 1969. After a long career in various nursing capacities, she served as Interim Deputy Commissioner for Minnesota Veterans Homes, a service of the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs.
Twins Territory Flag: The Twins Territory Flag will be raised by Tom Graves and Ginny Agresti of Minneapolis, Twins Season Ticket Holders for 22 years.
Flyover: A pregame flyover will feature two F-16 Fighting Falcons from the Minnesota National Guard’s 148th Fighter Wing, based out of Duluth
Gate 34 DJ: DJ Dudley D will be spinning and entertaining Twins fans before and during Game 3 from inside Gate 34. The personal touring, studio and private DJ for the late musical icon Prince, and with nearly three decades of experience playing to dance floors around the world, DJ Dudley D currently has several Minneapolis residencies.

Ceremonial First Pitch – 1987 World Series Champions: Gary Gaetti and Dan Gladden – Twins Hall of Famers and key contributors to Minnesota’s 1987 World Series title – will reunite at Target Field for Game 4’s ceremonial first pitch. The pitch will be thrown by Gaetti, a two-time All-Star, four-time Gold Glove Award winner and 1987 ALCS Most Valuable Player who became the first player in AL/NL history to homer in his first two career Postseason at-bats when he did so in Game 1 of the 1987 ALCS – a feat matched this October by current Twins rookie Royce Lewis. Gladden, whose grand slam in Game 1 of the 1987 World Series ignited a Twins win and helped lead to the club’s first championship in Minnesota, will catch Gaetti’s pitch.
National Anthem: The “Star-Spangled Banner” will be performed by renowned Twin Cities trumpeter Mark Holton.

Gate 34 DJ: Cristian Baca will be spinning and entertaining Twins fans before and during Game 4 from inside Gate 34. The Mexico-born artist is one of the top rising DJs, producers and event promoters in the Midwest. From headlining sold-out shows at Minneapolis’ legendary First Avenue to building two of Minnesota’s most successful dance parties, DJ Baca has made his presence felt across the local and regional music scenes.
