Today's White Sox-Tigers doubleheader postponed due to rain
CHICAGO – Today’s doubleheader between the Chicago White Sox and Detroit Tigers has been postponed due to rain. The clubs will play a straight doubleheader tomorrow, Saturday, September 28, beginning at 2:40 p.m. CT.
Only one of today’s games will be made up as part of tomorrow’s doubleheader, while the single, regularly-scheduled game will be played on Sunday at 2:10 p.m. Both teams now will be scheduled to play 161 games in the 2019 season.
Fans with game tickets, parking coupons and Huntington Bank Stadium Club passes to tomorrow night’s originally scheduled 6:10 p.m. game can attend both games with their ticket and parking pass. Parking lots will open at 1 p.m and gates at 2 p.m. The first 10,000 fans entering the ballpark prior to tomorrow’s 2:40 p.m. start will receive the Irish flat cap giveaway presented by The Chicago St. Patrick’s Day Parade as part of “Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day.”
Fans with game tickets, parking coupons and Huntington Bank Stadium Club passes for today’s doubleheader (September 27) have the option of attending tomorrow’s games by exchanging their tickets at the box office prior to entry. Fans also can apply the value of their September 27 tickets, parking coupons and stadium club passes to any future regular season White Sox home game, including the 2020 season, even if they entered the ballpark for today’s game. All exchanges must be done at the Guaranteed Rate Field box office during regular business hours.
NBC Sports Chicago will broadcast Game 1, and WGN-TV Channel 9 will air Game 2, marking the network’s final broadcast of White Sox baseball. WGN Radio 720-AM and WRTO-AM 1200/Univision Radio will broadcast both games.
Tickets for tomorrow’s doubleheader and Sunday’s final White Sox game of the season are available at whitesox.com, loswhitesox.com, the Guaranteed Rate Field ticket office or by calling (312) 674-1000.
