Three Minor League players suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that three Minor League players have been suspended following their violations of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

Free agent Minor League infielder Luis Curbelo has received an 80-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Clomiphene, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Program.

Miami Marlins Minor League outfielder Deivis Mosquera, who is currently on the roster of the Dominican Summer League Marlins, has received a 60-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Nandrolone, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Program.

Boston Red Sox Minor League pitcher Starlin Santos, who is currently on the roster of the Dominican Summer League Red Sox, has received a 60-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Program.

The suspensions of Mosquera and Santos will be effective at the start of their respective 2023 seasons, while the suspension of Curbelo will be effective upon his signing with another Major League organization.
