Texas Rangers to host second annual HBCU Diamond Day on June 8 prior to game against San Francisco
Arlington, Texas— The Texas Rangers will host their second annual HBCU Diamond Day on Saturday, June 8 prior to the 3:05 p.m. first pitch against the San Francisco Giants.
In support of the Tom Joyner Foundation, the HBCU Diamond Day is an opportunity to recognize current students and alumni from Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCU). Each ticket purchase will include an exclusive Texas Rangers-branded HBCU cap. A portion of ticket proceeds will benefit the Tom Joyner Foundation, a 501c3 that helps support students attending HBCUs.

In continued support of HBCUs in the Southwest region, the Rangers have tentative plans to make Commissioner’s Trophy Tour stops at multiple HBCUs in the coming months.
On Friday, July 12, Globe Life Field will play host to the HBCU Swingman Classic presented by T-Mobile & powered by the MLB-MLBPA Youth Development Foundation. The HBCU Swingman Classic is an annual MLB All-Star Week experience for 50 student-athletes from Division 1 programs at Historically Black Colleges & Universities to compete on a national stage.
