Texas Rangers announce 2022 Spring Training game times and broadcast schedule
Arlington, TX - The Texas Rangers today announced the game times and broadcast information for their 2022 spring training schedule, which begins this Friday, March 18.
Texas’ 18-game Cactus League schedule features 10 contests at Surprise Stadium/Billy Parker Field, the 20th spring that the Rangers have trained in Surprise beginning in 2003. The Rangers will be the home team for nine of those games and will be the visiting club for one contest against the Kansas City Royals, who share the Surprise complex with Texas. Those two teams are scheduled to play the Cactus League opener on Friday, March 18 (Rangers home game) and Friday, March 25 (Royals home game).
In addition, the Rangers will play the Arizona Diamondbacks, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Guardians, Los Angeles Dodgers, Milwaukee Brewers, and San Diego Padres once each in Surprise.
All Rangers games at Surprise Stadium will start at 1:05 p.m. Arizona Time with the exception of Saturday, April 2 vs. Cleveland (6:05 p.m.) and Tuesday, April 5 against the Chicago Cubs (12:05 p.m.).
Individual tickets for the revised schedule of spring training games in Surprise will go on sale on Tuesday, March 15. Tickets can be purchased at texasrangers.com or at the Surprise Stadium box office at 15850 North Bullard Ave., which opens at 10:00 a.m. daily.

Every 2022 Rangers spring training game will be available on either television, English radio, or audio webcast. Bally Sports Southwest is planning to originate four telecasts from Arizona, beginning with the Rangers-Reds game from Surprise on Tuesday, March 29. Dave Raymond, C.J. Nitkowski, and Emily Jones will call the action for the spring telecasts. BSSW may also carry additional games utilizing the opponent’s broadcast production with that schedule to be announced.
The Rangers English radio flagship, 105.3 The FAN is scheduled to broadcast eight games, five live and three day games on a delayed basis at 10:05 p.m. CT. There will also be nine spring training games available on a free audio webcast at texasrangers.com. Hall of Famer Eric Nadel returns for his 44th season and will join Matt Hicks and Jared Sandler on selected radio games this spring.
The Rangers will hold their first official Major League workout of the spring, tomorrow, Monday, March 14 beginning at 11:00 a.m. All workouts are open free to the public with the Rangers’ practice fields at the Surprise baseball complex opening at 9:30 a.m. MT each day. Access to the practice fields is available at the Bullard Avenue gate with parking located across the street.
