Rays open three-team, eight-game homestand
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.—The Tampa Bay Rays return to Tropicana Field tomorrow for a three-team, eight-game homestand against the New York Yankees (June 20-22), Pittsburgh Pirates (June 24-26) and Milwaukee Brewers (June 28-29). The 2022 Rays season is presented by Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.
Monday, June 20 vs. New York Yankees
- First Pitch: 7:10 p.m.
- Gates Open: 5:40 p.m.
- National Anthem: Will be performed by Janelle Richardson.
- Ceremonial First Pitch: Family of Rick Nafe.
- Partnership Recognition: The Rays Baseball Foundation will recognize its partnership with Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay and present them with a $10,000 grant.
Tuesday, June 21 vs. New York Yankees
- First Pitch: 7:10 p.m.
- Gates Open: 5:40 p.m.
- Promotion: Mike Zunino Florida Man Bobblehead presented by Bally Sports Sun. Available to all fans while supplies last.
- Tuesday’s Champion: Before every Tuesday home game, the Rays recognize a child from the Make-A-Wish Foundation or the Children’s Dream Fund as a part of the “Tuesday’s Champion” program, presented by RIPA & Associates. The Rays will recognize 16-year-old Jackson Settle from the Make-A-Wish Foundation with a ceremonial first pitch.

- Ceremonial First Pitch: Brittany Symonds from Moffitt Cancer Center.
- Devil Rays Day: The Rays will wear their Nike white alternative throwback Devil Rays jerseys and navy blue New Era retro caps. This will be the second of five dates the Rays wear the throwback jerseys and caps.
- Partnership Recognition: The Rays Baseball Foundation will host an on-field, pregame presentation for the 2022 Rays Community Fund Grant recipients. Twenty Tampa Bay area nonprofits will each receive a $5,000 grant for a total of $100,000 donated as part of this grant program. The Community Fund Grant provides assistance to local nonprofits in the Tampa Bay region to help enhance and support current programs offered by community-based nonprofit organizations. Since its inception, the foundation has invested more than $1.9 million to over 375 local nonprofits. The Rays Baseball Foundation will also recognize its partnership with Burg Baseball and present them with a $5,000 grant.
Sunday, June 26 vs. Pittsburgh Pirates

- National Anthem: Will be performed by Bethany Jaworski.
- Ceremonial First Pitch: Zoo Tampa mascot “Manny T” and Noelle Pride from “Rally Caps.”
- 7th Inning Stretch: Will be performed by Yael Ocasio from “Rally Caps.”
- Rally Caps: In anticipation of the upcoming film “Rally Caps,” a Sertoma Speech and Hearing Van will perform complimentary hearing exams outside Gate 4.
- Partnership Recognition: The Rays Baseball Foundation will recognize its partnership with Starting Right, Now and present them with a $40,000 grant.
- Rays Rookies Ticket Special: Rays Rookies members can receive 50 percent off tickets in the Lower Reserved and Rays Party Deck sections using the offer code sent to members via email. A maximum of six (6) tickets per account per date can be purchased. The deadline to purchase is 48 hours before the date of the game.
- For The Kids: Sundays are Family Fun Days. Every Sunday home game will feature family fun performers, including face painters and balloon artists. The Rays will offer a pregame parade around the warning track for youth baseball and softball leagues in attendance. Kids are invited to run the bases following the conclusion of the game.

- Tuesday’s Champion: Before every Tuesday home game, the Rays recognize a child from the Make-A-Wish Foundation or the Children’s Dream Fund as a part of the “Tuesday’s Champion” program, presented by RIPA & Associates. The Rays will recognize 7-year-old Samson Corbeil from the Children’s Dream Fund with a ceremonial first pitch.
- Partnership Recognition: The Rays Baseball Foundation will recognize its partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Charlotte County and present them with a $10,000 grant.
- Career Day: Members of the Rays organization will host students from Academy Prep Centers for Education to discuss their career paths and progression into their current positions. This is a culmination of a month-long Science of Baseball STEM program the Rays Baseball Operations department has been teaching at the Academy Prep campuses in Lakeland, Tampa and St. Petersburg.

- Lowe’s Home Runs for Hope: For every home run Rays infielder Brandon Lowe hits, he and his wife, Madison, will donate $100 to the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay. The Rays Baseball Foundation will also contribute $100 per home run in support of Lowe’s “Home Runs for Hope” campaign. The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay provides a range of services to ensure that no one in the community has to face a crisis alone. It is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year as the community gateway to help. People who are struggling with a variety of crisis situations including sexual assault or abuse, domestic violence, financial distress, substance abuse, medical emergency, suicidal thoughts and other emotional or situational problems can connect to hope and healing.
