Phillies Postseason Block Party outside Garage Fishtown on Friday features the new “Phillies Daycare” mural and the Rally for Red October Bus
WHAT: The Red October Rally Bus will make its final pit stop before this weekend’s National League Division Series! This special outdoor event for fans of all ages is being held outside Garage in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia and will celebrate the team’s first National League East division title in 13 years and third consecutive postseason appearance.
- Phillies special guests, who will be all aboard the double-decker bus, will join fans in taking photos of an exciting new mural on Garage depicting giant images of players Alec Bohm, Brandon Marsh and Bryson Stott, affectionately known as the “Phillies Daycare.”
- Participants include the Phillie Phanatic, 1993 National League champion and 2008 World Series coach Milt Thompson, 1980 World Series champion Dickie Noles, Phillies broadcasters Ruben Amaro Jr., Scott Franzke, Tom McCarthy, Gregg Murphy and Phillies Ballgirls.
- Also onsite will be muralist Jimmy McMenamin, the artist from Philadelphia-based Glossblack who created the new Fishtown landmark.
- Fans should be on the lookout for postseason freebies including a rally towel, as well as cheer cards and rally beads courtesy of NBC Sports Philadelphia, NBC10 and Telemundo 62 and more (while supplies last).
- To celebrate, neighborhood restaurants and businesses will be offering “Phillies Specials,” and Garage will donate a portion of its proceeds that evening to the Alec Bohm Foundation, with the Fishtown District also matching all donations.
