Phillies name Mark Lowy assistant pitching coach

The Phillies have named Mark Lowy assistant pitching coach on the major league coaching staff. Lowy will work alongside pitching coach Caleb Cotham and bullpen coach Cesar Ramos on manager Rob Thomson’s staff.

Phillies President of Baseball Operations Dave Dombrowski made the announcement.

Lowy, 32, spent the 2024 season – his fourth year in the organization – with the major league club as lead pitching development analyst. He originally joined the Phillies in 2021 as an integrative baseball performance associate in the club’s player development department. In 2022, Lowy was hired full time as pitching development analyst and took on additional responsibilities as upper-level pitching coordinator for the 2023 season.

Born in Ridgewood, N.J., Lowy played baseball at Gettysburg College (PA) and graduated in 2014 with a degree in organization and management studies. Prior to joining the Phillies, he worked as an associate pitching coordinator for Cressey Sports Performance (FL) from 2019-22. Lowy also served as a coach for Ridgewood High School (2015-19) and as director of performance for Gains Sports Performance (2018-19).

Lowy and his wife currently reside in Jupiter, Fla.
