ABOUT THE PHILLIES SEASON OF GIVING
The announcement of the Phillies Charities, Inc. Community Heroes and grant recipients is part of the team’s Season of Giving. Efforts also included several charitable events throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding area, all aimed at spreading holiday cheer.
Among the highlights: the Phillies front office prepared and served holiday meals for residents at The Bethesda Project’s “Our Brother’s Place” and Hope Lodge, hosted a Phillies holiday party in partnership with the Police Athletic League for children at the Ford PAL Center, made a special holiday gift drop-off for patients at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, and partnered with the Kisses for Kyle Foundation to surprise a young boy battling cancer with a Winter Wonderland Holiday Surprise Parade. In addition, more than one hundred gift cards were donated by Phillies employees as part of a Phillies Family Giving Drive, which benefited those receiving services from Bringing Hope Home, Laurel House, Valley Youth House and People’s Emergency Center.
