Padres Holiday Giving Tour Presented By Gallagher Set To Return In 2024

SAN DIEGO - The Padres today announced the return of their annual Holiday Giving Tour (presented by Gallagher). Throughout the following weeks, the Padres will support various organizations and have an impact on underserved communities throughout the San Diego and Baja region. Padres players, coaches, alumni, executives, staff and broadcasters, along with Pad Squad, the Swingin’ Friar and the Padres Volunteer Team will join forces with several community organizations as they help spread holiday cheer.

The Padres Holiday Giving Tour begins on Monday, November 25, with the organization’s annual Thanksgiving Turkey distribution in partnership with Northgate Market. The tour will continue into December beginning with Pad Squad, Friar and a Padres’ player and alumni providing a morale visit to patients and their families at Fisher House at the Naval Medical Center San Diego. The Padres will continue the week in Tijuana, where front office members will take part in putting the final touches and decorations on the Padres’ sponsored Build a Miracle home for a local family in the Tijuana community. The first week of December will conclude with the annual surprise bike distribution at a local elementary school where over 200 second and third grade students will receive a new bike and helmet for the holidays.

New to the tour this year, the Padres will partner with Humble Design to transform a home for a family emerging from homelessness by assisting in furnishing the house with donated furniture and household goods.

Other events and organizations involved in the holiday tour include kicking off a year-long sponsorship of the Wheels for Change program with Alpha Project to clean up litter and enhance the downtown community, participating in the Armed Services YMCA’s Operation Holiday Joy event and The Boys & Girls Club Toy Gift Wrapping Party; hosting students from Reality Changers for a holiday movie night at Rooftop Cinema, taking first and second grade classes holiday shopping, hosting a Rally Camps youth baseball clinic at the Jackie Robinson YMCA, a trip south of the border with Liga de Beisbol Infantil y Juvenil Municipal de Tijuana in partnership with ARCO and Farmacias Roma to host a youth baseball clinic for kids 12 and under, serving dinner at Youth Assistance Coalition, adopting a Monarch School classroom and providing gifts for the class, serving holiday meals to enlisted military families on Camp Pendleton and providing 150 sleeping bag coats to Veterans Village San Diego.
