Padres announce 2021 spring broadcast schedule

SAN DIEGO – The San Diego Padres today announced their broadcast schedule for 2021 Spring Training presented by Southwest Airlines, featuring 28 preseason games that will be available to fans via television, radio or audio webcast.

FOX Sports San Diego (FSSD) will televise 10 games live this spring with the first broadcast Wednesday, March 3 when the Padres take on the Milwaukee Brewers at the Peoria Sports Complex. Other televised matchups include divisional matchups against the Arizona Diamondbacks on March 13 and the Los Angeles Dodgers on March 20 before concluding the spring television schedule on March 27 when the Padres visit the Los Angeles Angels in Tempe. Padres play-by-play broadcaster Don Orsillo returns to the booth for all Spring telecasts, with former Padres Mark Grant or Mark Sweeney in the analyst seat. Former MLB pitcher Bob Scanlan will once again provide analysis and reports as part of the broadcasts. All televised Padres games on FSSD will also be available for live streaming on the FOX Sports GO app.

Complementing Spring Training telecasts, Padres radio broadcasts will continue to be broadcast on 97.3 The Fan in 2021. The club’s English flagship station will broadcast at least 13 Cactus League games this year, with the first Spring radio broadcast taking place on Sunday, February 28 and concluding on Sunday, March 28. Jesse Agler will provide the play-by-play with Tony Gwynn Jr. providing color commentary and analysis.

The Padres will make at least 11 audio webcasts available on www.padres.com for games that will not be broadcast on FOX Sports San Diego or 97.3 The Fan. The live audio webcasts will be available free-of-charge exclusively on www.padres.com beginning on Monday, March 1, when the Padres face the Chicago Cubs in Peoria. Fans can access the free live audio stream by logging in or creating a free account on www.padres.com.
