Ozzie Albies, Brent Rooker & Luis Arraez serve as MLB's 2024 World Series correspondents
Major League Baseball announced that World Series Champion Ozzie Albies along with All-Stars Brent Rooker and Luis Arraez will serve as World Series correspondents during the 2024 World Series Presented by Capital One. Tigers prospect Max Clark will work with Meta on original social content that will be featured exclusively on the social media platform’s @instagram account across feed and stories. This is the fourth consecutive year that MLB has utilized current players not in the World Series for special coverage.
Albies, a World Series champion with the Braves and three-time All-Star, will attend both Media Day on Thursday, October 24, and World Series Game 1 on Friday in Los Angeles. Rooker, a 2023 All-Star with the Athletics and Arraez, a three-time All-Star and three-time batting champion, will both attend Game 3 at Yankee Stadium.
Albies and Rooker will connect with friends, coaches, and players in this year’s World Series during pregame and postgame interviews, talk to personalities and celebrities in attendance, make appearances on MLB Network, and provide insights to the matchup from their experience facing both World Series teams for MLB’s platforms. During the 2023 Home Run Derby presented by T-Mobile, Albies co-hosted a TikTok LIVE that streamed on MLB and ESPN’s accounts. He spoke about his experiences during All-Star Week, interviewed players and did live commentary of the at-bats during the hour-long show. Albies also has his own YouTube channel where he showcases his personality and passion for fish, dogs and animal rescue. Rooker has been active on his X account throughout the Postseason, posting his own commentary and engaging with fans about the games on the platform.
Arraez will work closely with Las Mayores for player-first coverage primarily in Spanish. The Venezuelan infielder with the Padres will do interviews and takeovers with the top players and coaches on the Yankees and Dodgers as the Series shifts to NYC. Arraez has been exploring podcasts and actively using Twitch when he is gaming.
Clark offers a behind-the-scenes look at the Fall Classic to @instagram’s 678 million+ followers through special features for the platform. He’ll take fans on an exclusive behind-the-scenes journey through Game 2 at Dodger Stadium. From the moment he arrives at the ballpark, he’ll engage with players and fans and explore the ballpark food.
