Oakland Hosts Detroit Tigers Home Game on Sept. 6

OAKLAND, Calif. – On Sept. 6, the Oakland A’s will Turn Back the Clock to May 19, 2019, when the club hosts the conclusion of a Detroit Tigers home game that was suspended earlier this season. The A’s will begin play at 5:15 p.m. as the visiting team.

The May 19 game at Comerica Park in Detroit was suspended due to rain with the A's leading 5-3 with no outs in the bottom of the seventh inning. The game will resume from where it left off. The A's will wear their home uniforms on Sept. 6, but the team will bat in the top half of each inning.

At the time of the suspension, the A's were on a three-game winning streak and won an additional seven straight following the suspended game. A win in the continued game on Sept. 6 would make it an 11-game winning streak for Oakland from May 16-27, the club’s longest winning streak of the season.

The originally scheduled Sept. 6 game versus the Tigers will begin at 7:07 p.m., or 30 minutes following the conclusion of the first game. Tickets for the 7:07 p.m. game are also valid for the 5:15 p.m. game. Gates will open at 3:45 p.m. For more information, and to purchase tickets, visit athletics.com/tickets.
