New York Mets celebrate Amazin' Day across New York City on March 25

FLUSHING, N.Y. - March 24, 2023 - This Saturday, March 25, the Mets invite New Yorkers to experience the first-ever Amazin’ Day, an all-day, citywide takeover to celebrate the greatest city and fans in the world.

Fans can wear a Mets hat or any Mets gear to access surprise giveaways and first-come, first-served events at iconic NYC institutions. The celebration will also feature limited ticket and community-focused events, as well as a chance to win the Grand Prize in the Amazin’ Day Sweepstakes.

Amazin’ Day is an extension of the club’s efforts to enhance the fan experience and generate excitement for the 2023 season. Here are all the ways fans can participate:

COMMUNITY EVENTS

Mets Co-Branded Library Card Launch with Queens Public Library

In partnership with the Queens Public Library, the Mets are distributing a complimentary co-branded, limited-edition library card at all Queens Library branches during Amazin’ Day on a first-come, first-served basis.

Visit the Metsified pop-up animal adoption event in Central Park, where Mets fans can adopt dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens.

This past week, the Mets gave away hundreds of tickets to iconic New York City events happening on Amazin’ Day. Lucky winners will attend one of the following events:

AMAZIN’ DAY SWEEPSTAKES

In addition to immersive events, the Mets are hosting the Amazin’ Day Sweepstakes for a chance to win the Amazin’ Grand Prize. The grand prize winner will receive premium tickets and unprecedented access to Citi Field on game day, including throwing out the first pitch, meeting the players during batting practice, sitting in during the pre-game press conference, and more. Fans in and out of the city can enter the Amazin’ Day Sweepstakes here.

SURPRISING & DELIGHTING NEW YORK

The Mets are organizing fun surprises for fans wearing their Mets gear on Amazin’ Day. Official Mets Reps will pass out swag, and the Dunkin’ Jeep will share gift cards. Participating Coca-Cola restaurants will give away complimentary coke, including Kabooz’s Bar & Grill, Don Pepi Pizza, Don Pepi Deli, Utopia Bagels, and Chiddy’s. The following Citibank branches will give away Pete Alonso Bobbleheads and Rally Towels from 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. or while supplies last to fans wearing Mets gear: Jamaica – Hillside (168-48 Hillside Avenue), Union Square (52 East 14th Street), and Broadway & 96th St. (2553 Broadway).

For those who don’t have Mets gear yet, beginning at 10:00 a.m., Reps at Official Amazin’ Day Merch Pop-Ups will hand out complimentary Mets hats and gear throughout the day at surprise locations in Manhattan and Queens. Fans can keep up-to-date on the latest locations of the pop-ups on Mets.com/AmazinDay and via @mets on social media.

OTHER WAYS TO PARTICIPATE

For out-of-town fans, in addition to entering the Amazin’ Day Sweepstakes, the Mets encourage fans across the country to share their Mets fandom and gear on social media with the hashtag #AmazinDay.

The Mets will also be offering special Amazin’ Day Mets game ticket sales, with updates via @mets social media on the limited-time offers throughout the day.
