Milwaukee Brewers and their corporate partners team up for charity

MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers are proud to team up with corporate partners who are committed to support numerous nonprofit organizations, including the Club’s charitable arm, Brewers Community Foundation (BCF). The 2022 season brings a variety of charitable activations seen throughout American Family Field and in the community.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand presented by Northwestern Mutual – At select home games during the season, Northwestern Mutual will team up with the Milwaukee Brewers in the fight against childhood cancer. The first 150 fans who make a $20 donation at the Alex’s Lemonade Stand, located on the Field Level concourse, will receive an exclusive photo card of the evening’s special guest – a Brewers alum or other notable Wisconsin athlete – with the opportunity to have it signed. All proceeds benefit Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation to help support research to cure childhood cancer.

Associated Bank and BCF Cheer for Here Campaign – Associated Bank and BCF are pleased to partner for a second year to support minority-owned, women-owned and veteran-owned businesses across the state of Wisconsin. Through a joint community program, numerous diverse small businesses from across the state will receive a $5,000 grant to support their growing business needs. The grants are provided through the Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC), a leading economic development corporation that specializes in helping women, people of color and veteran-owned small businesses to access financial and educational resources. In addition to financial support, each business will receive access to tailored banking expertise from Associated Bank, including industry-leading products, services and financial education. Further, during the 2022 season, the businesses will receive visibility at American Family Field and in the community via various marketing and public relations campaigns.

Fairway Independent Mortgage Company – Fairway, along with Home.com, continue into the second year of a relationship with the Brewers Community Foundation (BCF) to focus on growing homeownership in Wisconsin. Headlining their efforts is their annual sponsorship of a home build with Habitat for Humanity, this year located in Milwaukee’s Harambee community. In addition, Fairway is sponsoring the annual BCF Drive for Charity, June 24-26 at American Family Field, as well as providing a service dog to a veteran in need through the American Warrior Initiative. Brewers pitcher Brandon Woodruff serves as an ambassador for Fairway and their initiatives to benefit fans and community members alike.Gruber Law Offices Outs for Hope – With every out recorded by the Brewers bullpen at American Family Field, Gruber Law Offices will donate to the MACC Fund in support of research to end childhood cancer and related blood disorders. Together, the Brewers bullpen and Gruber Law Offices can help send cancer back to the bench and give more children hope of playing out the next innings of their life. This is the fourth season for this initiative.ORBIS Double Plays – For the eighth consecutive season, ORBIS Corporation® will sponsor the ORBIS Double Play campaign. During the 2022 regular season, ORBIS will donate $150 to Brewers Community Foundation for every double play turned by the Crew at American Family Field.Sargento Double Helping for Hunger – As a family-owned company, Sargento roots for the home team and our local communities. With the Sargento Double Helping for Hunger campaign, Sargento will donate $200 to Hunger Task Force for every double hit by the Brewers during the 2022 season. Since the program began in 2018, Sargento has donated more than $70,000 to feed families in need. Sargento, the Official Cheese of the Brewers, is proud to turn doubles into dollars to raise awareness of the importance of fighting hunger in this time of need.

SC Johnson Saves for the Ocean – For every save recorded by the Brewers this season, SC Johnson and the Brewers are teaming up to make donations to organizations working to reduce plastic waste in our oceans. The primary beneficiary this season is Players for the Planet, which hosts beach clean-ups in the Dominican Republic involving local MLB youth development programs, as well as ocean conservation education programming. This is the third season for the campaign supported by SC Johnson and the Brewers, and the third year for the Players for the Planet beach clean-up in the Dominican Republic.

UW Credit Union “Here for a Cause” – For every Brewers regular season win at American Family Field, UW Credit Union will donate $250 to United Community Center (UCC). UW Credit Union selected UCC based on the organization’s shared mission of promoting lifelong learning and building an empowered, thriving community. UCC serves Latino families and individuals of all ages, providing comprehensive services in education, human services, health, community development and cultural arts. This year, UW Credit Union seeks to support UCC in providing a bright future for children ages six weeks to four years old who are enrolled in early learning on the UCC campus.

UW Credit Union Student Achievers Program – UW Credit Union continues to sponsor and support the Brewers Student Achievers Program by awarding high-achieving students with tickets to a 2022 Regular Season Home game and certificate of recognition. More than 450 schools across ten counties in Southeastern Wisconsin participate in the program by selecting students to be acknowledged in the “Academic Excellence” or “Academic Effort” categories.

We Energies Ks for a Cause – We Energies Foundation will donate $25 to the Urban Ecology Center for every strikeout recorded by a Brewers pitcher at American Family Field this season. This is We Energies Foundation’s sixth year sponsoring Ks for a Cause. We Energies is also a member of the Brewers Community Foundation Leadership Council.Brewers Community Foundation – In addition to the many season-long charitable programs, a number of Brewers corporate partners are also significant financial supporters of Brewers Community Foundation as members of the Leadership Council. This list includes American Family Insurance, Aurora Health Care, Baker Tilly, Delta Dental of Wisconsin, Johnson Controls, Lubar & Co., Molson Coors, Milwaukee Admirals, Northwestern Mutual, Potawatomi Hotel & Casino and We Energies Foundation.

BCF harnesses the pride, passion and commitment of Brewers fans, players and other supporters to positively impact the lives of children and their families in the Greater Milwaukee area and throughout Wisconsin.
