Mariners Homestand Highlights September 10-19 vs. San Diego Padres, Texas Rangers & New York Yankees

- Virginia Mason Franciscan Health Prostate Cancer Screening - September is National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month! Did you know that prostate cancer is the second-leading cause of cancer death in American men, behind only lung cancer? The Mariners, Virginia Mason Franciscan Health and Fans for the Cure are teaming up to bring prostate cancer screening to the ballpark to keep you healthy and cheering on the M’s. This initiative promotes the benefits of early cancer screenings and encourages all Mariners fans and your families to talk with your doctor about scheduling appropriate screenings for your age and risk factors. Early detection can increase the chances of survival, that's why it's crucial to undergo recommended screenings. If you qualify for a prostate cancer screening, you can schedule your simple blood draw test at the T-Mobile Park Rooftop Boardwalk on the upper level of the ballpark. Here is what screening participants can expect: Simple blood test for a prostate-specific antigen (PSA), where your blood is tested for elevated levels of the PSA antigen, a sign of prostate cancer. The blood draw takes less than five minutes. Your results will be mailed to you the following week.

- Step Up to the Plate Food Drive - Northwest Harvest is returning this year for the second annual “Step Up to the Plate” food drive campaign in partnership with Starbucks and the Seattle Mariners. Similar to last year, Starbucks and the Mariners will host a food drive at T-Mobile Park and at 12 Starbucks stores to collect food and donations for Northwest Harvest and raise awareness about the work that still needs to be done to help end hunger in the Pacific Northwest. Northwest Harvest is a food justice organization operating statewide in Washington with a network of over 350 food and meal programs, schools, and community-based organizations. Focused on improving equity in our food system, Northwest Harvest believes everyone in Washington should have consistent access to nutritious foods that nourishes their body and affirms their culture.
