Giants claim right-handed pitcher Ryan Dull off waivers from Oakland

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — The San Francisco Giants announced today that they have claimed right-handed pitcher Ryan Dull off waivers from the Oakland Athletics. Dull will report to triple-A Sacramento.

The 29-year-old was on Oakland’s Opening Day roster this year and posted no record with a 12.00 ERA in seven relief appearances. He’s spent the majority of the season with triple-A Las Vegas, going 1-4 with a 5.45 ERA along with 50 strikeouts and 13 walks in 39.2 innings over 30 appearances.

Drafted by the A’s in the 32nd round of the 2012 MLB draft, the Winston-Salem, NC native owns an 8-9 record with a 4.08 ERA in 167 career relief appearances with Oakland over five big league seasons.
