Final Homestand of the Regular Season: Phillies vs. Cubs, September 23-25

Phillies minor league players and Kyle Schwarber honored for community service;

Come cheer on the Phils as they aim to clinch the NL East title at home as they host the Chicago Cubs from Monday, September 23, to Wednesday, September 25, at Citizens Bank Park. Here’s a look at some of the fan highlights surrounding the final homestand of the regular season:

  1. The series begins on Monday, September 23, at 6:40 p.m. with the ninth annual Phillies Band Night! Local middle school and high school marching bands will perform outside the Left Field Gate from 5:40 – 5:50 p.m., and Penncrest High School Roaring Lions Marching Band will perform on-field.

  2. As part of Temple Lung Center Night, fans are invited to stop by the Third Base Gate for free lung testing with giveaways, as well as receive information about lung health screening.

  3. Plus, Temple Lung Center's team will have a trivia wheel with prizes and information about lung health and smoking cessation inside the First Base Gate. Fans will also have the chance to ask clinicians questions about lung health.

  4. Before the 6:40 p.m. game on Tuesday, September 24, players from the Phillies organization will be honored with community service awards.

  5. Phillies General Manager Sam Fuld will present the Minor League Step Up Award on-field, given to players in the Phillies minor league system who have shown leadership through community service. Winners include: Jack Dallas, Jersey Shore BlueClaws; Griff McGarry, Lehigh Valley IronPigs; Noah Skirrow, Reading Fightin Phils; and Chase Hopwell, Clearwater Threshers.

  6. Fuld will also present Phillies designated hitter Kyle Schwarber with the team’s Major League Community Service Award. Schwarber is also the team’s Roberto Clemente Award nominee.

  7. Also before the game, members of the Phillies Baseball Academy will parade on-field.

  8. 102-year-old WWII veteran Joe Capriotti will change third base at the end of the 3rd inning as he is honored as that night’s Rothman Hometown Hero.

  9. Get ready for plenty of prizes and surprises at Fan Appreciation Night on Wednesday, September 25, at 6:05 p.m., the final home game of the regular season!

  10. Phillies Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer John Middleton and Executive Vice President Dave Buck will recognize longtime Phillies game day employees on-field before the game. Among them:

  11. 50-year day-of-game employee Nancy D’Egido, merchandise

  12. 25-year day-of-game employees: Edward Deal and Frank Mezzuca, press club; Andrew McMenamin, grounds crew; Stephen Sinclair, security supervisor; Francis Steiner, PhanaVision; and Lisa Bucholski, ticket services.

  13. Plus, all fans will receive a 2025 Schedule Magnet presented by Campbell’s.

  14. For this series only, Lucatelli’s Pizzeria will be offering The Hot-Tober Sandwich at Coca-Cola Corner.

  15. The sandwich features two chicken cutlets, vodka sauce, fresh mozzarella, grilled hot soppressata salami and hot honey drizzle on a seeded Liscio’s roll. Price is $15.99 plus tax, paired with a 20oz Coke Zero for an additional $6.99.
