Dodgers to face the Padres in the NLDS beginning tomorrow, October 5

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers will host the San Diego Padres in Games 1 and 2 of the best-of-five National League Division Series (NLDS), beginning tomorrow, October 5 at 5:38 p.m. PT. The series will then move to San Diego for Game 3 and, if necessary, Game 4. Should the series advance to a winner-take-all Game 5, it will take place on Friday, October 11 back at Chavez Ravine. Tickets remain available for all three games at Dodgers.com/postseason. Fans are also encouraged to check the Postseason ticket inventory available on the Dodgers’ trusted secondary market partner, Vivid Seats.

After opening the 2024 MLB season against one another in Seoul, South Korea, the Dodgers and Padres will once again battle in the NLDS. The matchup marks the fifth consecutive year the Dodgers will face a National League West opponent in the Division Series and the second time in the last three seasons they will take on the Padres. The two clubs have faced off 13 times this season, with the Boys in Blue claiming victory five times. The Dodgers took two of three from the Padres last week to secure their 11th National League West title in 12 years.

Former Dodgers first baseman, 1992 Rookie of the Year, Silver Slugger and current SportsNet LA broadcaster Eric Karros will throw out the first pitch prior to Game 1 of the NLDS. American singer and platinum-selling songwriter Lauren Evans will sing the National Anthem while two F-35 jets from Naval Air Station Lemoore will perform a flyover, accompanied by the Los Angeles Armed Forces Joint Color Guard. Game 2 on Sunday night will begin at 5:03 p.m. PT and saxophonist Mike Phillips will perform the National Anthem. The 1981 World Series champion and seven-time All-Star, Reggie Smith, will toss the ceremonial first pitch ahead of Game 2. Both games will feature pregame performances throughout the park from different DJs and musical groups.

This Postseason, the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) will conduct its 50/50 raffle at every home game. LADF’s Homebase Store in Centerfield Plaza has “Buy It Now” autographed memorabilia and branded merchandise including $10 t-shirts and bobbleheads. Fans can also purchase a personalized ribbon board message at Dodgers.com/ribbonboards. LADF is continuing to make a “Lasting Impact for Los Angeles” and encouraging fans to visit Dodgers.com/Give. In return, donors who give $50 or more will receive a limited-edition silver LADF Logo pin, and for those that give $100 or more will receive a limited-edition gold LADF logo pin.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early with auto gates opening three hours prior to first pitch, at 2:38 p.m. for Game 1 and 2:03 p.m. for Game 2. Stadium gates will open two hours and a half hours before first pitch at 3:08 p.m. ahead of Game 1 and 2:33 p.m. ahead of Game 2.
