Dodgers host the Mets in the National League Championship Series beginning tomorrow, October 13
LOS ANGELES - The Dodgers will match up against the New York Mets for their first National League Championship Series (NLCS) since 2021, beginning with Game 1 tomorrow, October 13 at 5:15 p.m. On Monday, Game 2 will begin at 1:08 p.m. before the series shifts to New York for Game 3, Game 4, and if necessary, Game 5. Should the matchup return to Los Angeles, Games 6 and 7 will take place on Sunday, October 20 and Monday, October 21, with game times announced at a later date. Tickets remain available for all NLCS games at Dodgers.com/Postseason. Fans are also encouraged to check the Postseason ticket inventory available on the Dodgers’ trusted secondary market partner, Vivid Seats.
The Dodgers claimed victory in the season series over the Mets, besting New York 4-2 over six games, which included a three-game sweep in Queens from May 28-29. The Boys in Blue beat the San Diego Padres in the NLDS, 3-2, behind two consecutive shutout victories in Games 4 and 5, to advance to the NLCS. After defeating the Milwaukee Brewers 2-1 in a three-game Wild Card series, the Mets went on to beat the Philadelphia Phillies in the NLDS, 3-1. This will be the first time the Dodgers and Mets meet in the Postseason since 2015, and the first time the two clubs will face off in the NLCS since 1988, when the Dodgers eventually went on to claim their sixth World Series title.
Fan favorite and two-time World Series champion Manny Ramirez will throw out the ceremonial first pitch ahead of Game 1 of the NLCS. The Dominican outfielder played 223 games with the Dodgers, from 2008-2010. The national anthem will be sung by Grammy Award winning R&B quartet, All-4-One, as a grand flag will grace the outfield. A flyover will be conducted by two F/A-18 Super Hornets during the Star Spangled Banner, featuring the Strike Fighter Squadron 122 from Naval Air Station Lemoore.
Shawn Green will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before Game 2 on Monday afternoon. The two-time All-Star spent five seasons with Los Angeles and held the Dodgers' single season home run record (49) up until this year, when Shohei Ohtani became the first member of the 50/50 club on September 19. American singer-songwriter and three-time Grammy winner Avi Kaplan will sing the national anthem ahead of the 1:08 p.m. start.
New dishes will be served at Dodger Stadium during the Championship Series, including a loaded BBQ baked potato stuffed with burnt end brisket (Left Field Plaza, Reserve Level Sec. 22), a colossal beef kabob (Field Level Sec. 45, Reserve Level Sec. 4) and a ramen burger featuring compressed ramen noodles and caramelized onions (Field Level Sec. 22 and 23, Top Deck Sec. 4). For more information, fans can visit Guest Services stands throughout the ballpark.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early with auto gates opening three hours prior to first pitch, at 2:15 p.m. for Game 1 and 10:08 a.m. for Game 2. Stadium gates will open two hours and a half hours before first pitch at 2:45 p.m. ahead of Game 1 and 10:38 a.m. for Game 2. Game times, with auto gates and stadium gates times, will be announced at a later date for if-necessary Games 6 and 7. The Dodger Stadium Express from Union Station will begin operation 120 minutes before first pitch and services will begin 150 minutes before first pitch from the South Bay. Both services will run 45 minutes after the final out or 20 minutes after the end of any post-game event.
This Postseason, the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) will conduct its 50/50 raffle at every home game. LADF’s Homebase Store in Centerfield Plaza has “Buy It Now” autographed memorabilia and branded merchandise including $10 t-shirts and bobbleheads. Fans can also purchase a personalized ribbon board message at Dodgers.com/ribbonboards. LADF is continuing to make a “Lasting Impact for Los Angeles” and encouraging fans to visit Dodgers.com/Give. In return, donors who give $50 or more will receive a limited-edition silver LADF Logo pin, and for those that give $100 or more will receive a limited-edition gold LADF logo pin.
