Dodgers Activate Kevin Kiermaier & Amed Rosario

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers added outfielder Kevin Kiermaier and infielder/outfielder Amed Rosario to the active roster and optioned catcher Hunter Feduccia.

Kiermaier, 34, was acquired on Tuesday from the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for left-handed pitcher Ryan Yarbrough. He was hitting .195 with four homers and 18 RBI in 81 games for the Blue Jays. The four-time Gold Glover has been in the Major Leagues parts of 12 seasons with Tampa Bay (2013-22) and Toronto (2023-24), hitting .246 with 94 homers and 370 RBI in 1,124 games. He was originally drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 31st round of the 2010 First Year Player Draft out of Parkland College.

Rosario, 28, was acquired by the Dodgers on Monday from Tampa Bay in exchange for right-handed pitcher Michael Flynn. He rejoins the Dodgers for the second straight season after being traded last summer. The infielder is batting .307 with two homers and 26 RBI in 76 games for the Rays. He slashed .256/.301/.408 with the Dodgers last season. He is in his eighth Major League season with New York (2017-20), Cleveland (2021-23), Los Angeles (2023) and Tampa Bay (2024), hitting .275 with 62 homers and 360 RBI. He was signed as an international free agent by the Mets on July 2012.

Feduccia, 27, made his Major League debut on Wednesday against the Padres, flying out in his lone at bat. He is batting .295 with five homers and 42 RBI with Triple-A Oklahoma City. He has been with the organization six seasons, batting .268 with 45 homers and 248 RBI in 429 minor league games. The backstop was drafted in the 12th round of the 2018 First Year Player Draft out of Louisiana State University.
