Dodgers activate Brusdar Graterol

LOS ANGELES – The Dodgers activated right-handed pitcher Brusdar Graterol from the 60-day injured list and placed right-handed pitcher Blake Treinen on the injured list with left hip discomfort.

Graterol, 24, has been on the injured list all season with right shoulder inflammation. He has been with the Dodgers four seasons, and he is a combined 10-8 with a 2.69 ERA in 171 career games. He started his career with the Minnesota Twins in 2019, going 1-1 in 10 games with a 4.66 ERA. He was acquired by the Dodgers on February 10, 2020 from the Twins along with Luke Raley in exchange for right-handed pitcher Kenta Maeda and infielder Jair Camargo.

Treinen, 34, has made 34 appearances with the Dodgers, going 5-3 with one save and 2.67 ERA. He has 38 strikeouts in 30.1 innings while holding hitters to a .212 batting average. He has been in the Majors 10 seasons with Washington (2014-17), Oakland (2017-19) and Los Angeles-NL (2020-24), and he is 41-34 with a 2.85 ERA in 483 games. He has 80 career saves with 542 strikeouts. He was drafted by the Athletics in the seventh round of the 2011 First Year Player Draft out of South Dakota State University.
