D-backs to host Fourth of July with 3:10 p.m. game and Patriotic Tee giveaway
The Arizona Diamondbacks will celebrate Fourth of July on Monday, July 4 with a 3:10 p.m. game against the San Francisco Giants to open their next homestand.
***The Fourth of July game will not feature the traditional postgame fireworks show as a result of ongoing roof issues at Chase Field.***
The D-backs holiday celebration will include:
• A Patriotic 4th of July Tee giveaway for the first 10,000 fans in attendance.
• A pre-game ceremony with Folds of Honor, a national organization that provides scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service members.
• Liz Brees (O’Hare), representing the Folds of Honor Speaker’s Bureau, will throw the ceremonial first pitch and join our radio broadcast for an interview. Brees is the daughter of Navy LCDR Raymond O’Hare, who passed away in July 2000, when Liz was only three years old. She was a multi-year Folds of Honor scholarship recipient and became a member of the Speaker’s Bureau, along with her mom, in 2019. [bio attached]
