D-backs select 10 players on Day 3 of Major League Baseball's 2023 Draft

The Arizona Diamondbacks selected 10 players on Day 3 of the 2023 Major League Baseball Draft:

Casey Anderson (Round 11; No. 325) │Utah Valley bio

RHP │ B/T: R/R │ Age: 22 (Aug. 31, 2000) │ 6-4, 185 │ Utah Valley State

• Is the seventh draft selection in Utah Vally University’s Division-I era and the highest selection during that time.
• As a junior, went 5-1 with a 3.39 ERA (26 ER in 69.0 IP) in 15 games (8 starts) with the Wolverines.
• Earned Western Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week twice for performances vs. Grand Canyon and Stephen F. Austin.
• Began his collegiate career in 2020 at the University of Utah, transferred to Eastern Arizona College in 2021 and then College of Southern Idaho in 2022.
• Attended Lehi High School in Lehi, Utah.

Sam Knowlton (Round 12; No. 355) University of South Alabama bio

• As a redshirt junior, appeared in 15 games (5 starts) with the University of South Alabama, going 2-3 with a 6.65 ERA.

• Committed to playing at the University of Kansas.
