Chicago Cubs set 2023 Opening Day roster

CHICAGO – The Chicago Cubs have set their Opening Day 26-man roster in advance of their 2023 season opener this afternoon vs. the Milwaukee Brewers.

Right-handed pitcher Mark Leiter Jr. has been selected from Triple-A Iowa.

The Cubs have placed three players on the injured list, retroactive to March 27: right-handed pitcher Kyle Hendricks (15-day, right shoulder strain), left-handed pitcher Brandon Hughes (15-day, left knee inflammation) and outfielder Seiya Suzuki (10-day, left oblique strain).
