Mancini’s teammate, outfielder Austin Hays of the Baltimore Orioles, earned his first career Play of the Week honor, and the second for the Orioles this season, following his teammate Anthony Santander (June 8th). Additional Play of the Week candidates included Manuel Margot’s home run-robbing catch at Petco Park; David Fletcher’s diving stop up the middle and glove-flip to Andrelton Simmons to start a double play; Brandon Dixon’s diving catch in foul territory; José Abreu’s catch in foul territory before falling into the netting; and Austin’s other impressive play last week in which he charged in from center field before making a fully-extended diving catch on a shallow fly ball.
