Coca-Cola joins T-Mobile Park lineup as Mariners "official fan refreshment"
The Seattle Mariners and Swire Coca-Cola, USA - the bottler for Coca-Cola and other beverage brands in Washington and parts of 12 other states across the American West - announced a new long-term partnership that designates Coca-Cola as the Mariners “Official Fan Refreshment.”
This new multi-year partnership marks the first time Coke products have been available at Mariners games since T-Mobile Park opened in 1999. Fans will now be able to choose from the widest selection of Coca-Cola products at any entertainment venue in Seattle. Those products include sparkling soft drinks, energy drinks, water brands, and many low or no sugar-beverages.
“Swire Coca-Cola and the Seattle Mariners align in so many priority areas, making this partnership a natural fit. We are both deeply invested in our communities, have a culture of innovation, commitment to sustainable operations, and a customer-centric approach to everything we do,” said Catie Griggs, Seattle Mariners President of Business Operations. “We are thrilled to be able to welcome Swire Coca-Cola to T-Mobile Park and present the world’s most popular soft drink to our fans,” said Griggs.
“With a bottling plant located in Bellevue Washington, we’re thrilled to be bringing Coca-Cola products to the home team,” said Ken Hale, Washington Division Vice President at Swire Coca-Cola, USA. “Our 1,300 Washington associates serve over 8,000 customers in the state and are proud to be adding T-Mobile Park. Also, who doesn’t love a Coke at the ballpark? This will be the first time Mariners fans can do that since the Kingdome! After enjoying your favorite Coke beverage, do not forget to recycle the bottle or can at one of the many recycling receptacles around T-Mobile Park.”
Beginning on Opening Day, Friday, April 15, when the Mariners meet the Houston Astros, fans will find the full line of Coca-Cola brand sodas, energy drinks and water at T-Mobile Park concession stands, clubs and restaurants, as well as free refills on all fountain soft drinks and in-game promotions that reward fans with prizes when they “Get Caught Red Handed” with Coke products.
Bottomless Fountain Drinks
Beginning this season, all Coca-Cola fountain drinks at T-Mobile Park will come with free refills. Sodexo Live! Concession locations throughout the ballpark will have fan-facing soda fountains where guests can get free refills for 16oz standard and 32oz souvenir cups.
Get Caught Red Handed
Coca-Cola will be the presenting partner of the Get Caught Red Handed in-game promotion that will occur at select games during each home series. The Mariner Moose will be on the hunt for fans “caught” with a Coca-Cola branded beverage during select games and will reward them with a variety of special items such as tickets, gift cards, hats, t-shirts and miniature polar bears. The Mariner Moose will also surprise and delight one lucky row of fans during select games to win complimentary beverages and other goodies for the entire row!
