Cleveland, OH – The Cleveland Guardians today announced that six different Cleveland Guardians player programs will be hosted at each Wild Card game at Progressive Field.
The Cleveland Guardians have purchased 120 tickets for each game to host groups that have been involved with several different Guardians players throughout the 2022 season.
The following player programs will be at each Wild Card game at Progressive Field:
Cleveland RBI Teams hosted by Josh Naylor
Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) is a Major League Baseball youth outreach program designed to encourage academic achievement, increase youth with diverse backgrounds into the mainstream of the game, and increase the number of talented athletes to play in college and professionally.
Guardians RBI rosters are constructed with Cleveland Metropolitan School District students, who through the Say Yes to Education grant program have the ability to attend their choice of 100+ private colleges and universities in Ohio and across the country for free. All expenses are covered by the Cleveland Guardians.
True2U hosted by Triston McKenzie
Triston McKenzie has volunteered as a True2U mentor for an eighth-grade class at Valley View Boys’ Leadership Academy throughout the past three school years. This year, McKenzie is joined by Steven Kwan as a mentor.
Cleveland Guardians Chess Club hosted by Steven Kwan
Steven Kwan launched the Cleveland Guardians Chess Club 2022 Spring Training and has teamed up with students from John Marshall High School's chess team (top-20 in the nation) to have exhibition matches between Guardians players and John Marshall students throughout the season.
