Cleveland Guardians and Pittsburgh Pirates complete trade

CLEVELAND, OH – The Cleveland Guardians today announced the following transaction:

Traded RHP Peter Strzelecki to the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for cash considerations. Strzelecki was designated for assignment on November 19.

Strzelecki, 30, spent the 2024 season with Cleveland’s organization after being acquired from the Arizona Diamondbacks on March 28, appearing in five stints with the Major League club. The right-hander worked solely out of the bullpen in 10 Major League appearances, sporting a 2.31 ERA in 11.2 innings of work.
