Citi Field National League Championship Series Game Details Announced

FLUSHING, N.Y., October 15, 2024 – The New York Mets will host Game 3, Game 4 and Game 5 of the National League Championship Series (NLCS) presented by loanDepot on Wednesday, October 16, Thursday, October 17 and Friday, October 18 against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Details and information for the game as well as pre-game festivities are below.

CEREMONIAL FIRST PITCH: On Wednesday, Mets Hall of Famer and 1986 World Series Champion Darryl Strawberry will throw out the Ceremonial First Pitch to former teammate, fellow Mets Hall of Famer, and 1986 World Series Champion Dwight ‘Doc’ Gooden. Both Strawberry and Gooden had their numbers retired by the Mets earlier this season. On Thursday, 2000 NLCS Champion Robin Ventura will throw out the Ceremonial First Pitch to former teammate, fellow 2000 NLCS Champion, and Mets Hall of Famer Edgardo Alfonzo. On Friday, 2015 NLCS Champion Matt Harvey will throw out the Ceremonial First Pitch to fellow 2015 NLCS Champion Yoenis Céspedes. The Mets encourage fans to be in their seats 30 minutes prior to game time for these special moments.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: On Wednesday, the 2024 American Idol winner and recording artist Abi Carter will perform the National Anthem. On Thursday, recording artist Chloe Lowery will perform the National Anthem.

TRANSIT AND PARKING: With capacity crowds expected, the Mets encourage fans to take mass transit or rideshare services and arrive early to enter the ballpark. Parking will be limited and available parking spaces will run out quickly. Citi Field is just a short subway ride from Midtown Manhattan and most NYC points on the 7-train, including extra trains back to Manhattan after the game. There will also be extra LIRR trains back to Manhattan and Long Island following the game. Citi Field parking lots will open at 4:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday and Thursday. Citi Field parking lots will open at 1:30 p.m. ET on Friday. Mass transit is the fastest way to Citi Field.

METS BLOCK PARTY: There will be a Mets Block Party before all NLCS games, beginning when Citi Field parking lots open until first pitch. The Mets Block Party will continue postgame for an hour after the game. The Mets Block Party will include a DJ, appearances by Mr. & Mrs. Met and Mets Alumni, and performances by The Queens Crew. Block Parties take place outside Citi Field from the Jackie Robinson Rotunda to the Left Field Gate, weather permitting. For more information on the Mets Block Party visit Mets.com/BlockParty. GATE TIMES: Gates to Citi Field will open at 5:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday and Thursday. Gates to Citi Field will open at 2:30 p.m. ET on Friday.

SECURITY: All fans will be required to go through security when they enter Citi Field. Fans are encouraged to enter the ballpark early to avoid long lines and not miss a pitch. Please note that backpacks are prohibited inside Citi Field.

RALLY TOWELS: All fans in attendance for each NLCS game at Citi Field will be given a Mets Rally Towel upon entry, courtesy of Delta Air Lines.

WATCH AND LISTEN: First pitch for Game 3 and Game 4 is scheduled for 8:08 p.m. ET. First pitch for Game 5 is scheduled for 5:08 p.m. ET. Please note game times are subject to change. All three games will be televised exclusively on FS1. Mets Radio will broadcast the game on Audacy 880 AM.

NEW CITI FIELD MENU ITEMS: Mets fans will see additions to the menus at Anne Burrell’s Italian Eats and Wok N’ Roll. The Mets will also be adding a new portable called Walk-Off Café, as well as a specialty cocktail available at all bars.
