Church & Dwight renews long-term MLB sponsorship, adds partnership with Little League

Major League Baseball (MLB) and Church & Dwight, leading manufacturer of consumer household and personal care products, announced today an expanded sponsorship agreement, further solidifying a relationship that began in 2014. For the first time, the ARM & HAMMER and OxiClean brands add the sponsorship of Little League Baseball and Softball. Through this multi-faceted sponsorship pact, Church & Dwight plans to continue the promotion of its key brands across MLB marketing assets via digital, broadcast, jewel event and in-stadium advertising.

ARM & HAMMER and OxiClean brands will maintain designations as the Official Laundry Detergent and Official Stain Fighter of Major League Baseball, respectively, and during the Little League World Series the Church & Dwight brands leveraged digital content and promotions focused on the Little League audience. On the Major League front, ARM & HAMMER presents the Hitter Power Rankings all season long across MLB.com, MLB social media channels and MLB Network while also hosting an online sweepstakes where fans have the opportunity to enter to win tickets to MLB All-Star Week.

”We’re thrilled to expand our relationship this year into Little League Baseball and Softball,” said Cindy Manzo, Marketing Director, Church & Dwight. “We know kids play their hearts out on the field and look like they’re taking a piece of that field home with them after every practice and every game. We’re happy to continue to be every parent’s trusted partner to get kids’ clothes and uniforms cleaned and game-ready each and every time. The opportunity to partner with Little League and to connect with parents and coaches in new ways is key for us.”

A vital component of the MLB sponsorship is the continuation of the Jennie Finch Empowerment Award presented by ARM & HAMMER, now in its sixth season. Leadership, motivation, commitment, dedication, humility and integrity are the six guiding principles of the award, which is given annually to four young female softball players who are exemplary scholars, humanitarians and athletes. Each winner receives a $10,000 scholarship toward their college education, courtesy of ARM & HAMMER, which has contributed a total of $180,000 to the initiative since its inception in 2019. Each year, a winner is named at the main MLB Develops softball events: the Breakthrough Series, the Elite Development Invitational, the All-Star Jennie Finch Classic presented by ARM & HAMMER during All-Star week and the Nike RBI World Series. ARM & HAMMER also award winners and their families with tickets and a trip to the World Series.

“Over the last ten years, Church & Dwight has been a terrific business partner to Major League Baseball and we’re excited for them to extend that engagement to Little League,” said Bill Morningstar, MLB Executive Vice President, Sponsorship Sales. “Church & Dwight continually takes advantage of the marketing opportunities this sponsorship affords them – whether it be through media, entertaining activations during All-Star Week or truly impactful recognition programs like the Jennie Finch Empowerment Award. We can’t wait to continue working with them – and our great partners at Little League – on more unique executions in the years ahead.”
