Cardinals to celebrate anniversary reunions of 1964 World Series & 2004 National League Championship teams on July 26

ST. LOUIS, Mo., July 24, 2024 – The St. Louis Cardinals announced it will host both a 20-year anniversary reunion of the 2004 National League Championship team and a 60-year anniversary reunion of the 1964 World Series Championship team at Busch Stadium on Friday, July 26, presented by Heartland Coca-Cola.

Over 30 former players and staffers from the 2004 team, including National Baseball Hall of Famers Tony La Russa, Scott Rolen, and Cardinals Hall of Famers Ray Lankford & José Oquendo are scheduled to take part in a pregame ceremony beginning at 6:30 PM before that evening’s 7:15 PM game against the Washington Nationals. Seven players from the 1964 team, including Ray Washburn, St. Louis native Charlie James and Carl Warwick, will also participate in the pregame ceremony.

Others scheduled to attend the reunion include Reggie Sanders, Tony Womack, Woody Williams, Jeff Suppan, Jason Marquis, Ray King, Steve Kline, Julián Tavárez, Cal Eldred, Marlon Anderson, Rick Ankiel, and more.

That day, 25,000 fans, age 16 and older, will take home a Mystery 2004 Bobblehead of either Jim Edmonds, Matt Morris or So Taguchi, presented by Coca-Cola and Dierbergs.
