Brewers name Minor League Player and Pitcher of the Month for July
MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers have named infielder Luke Adams as Minor League Player of the Month and right-handed pitcher Craig Yoho as Minor League Pitcher of the Month for July.
The Brewers also named infielder Jesús Made as Complex League Player of the Month and right-handed pitcher Ayendy Bravo as Complex League Pitcher of the Month.
Adams, 20, posted a .536 on-base percentage and a .588 slugging percentage for a 1.124 OPS in 21 games for Class-A Wisconsin in July. He batted .255 (13-for-51) with 2 doubles, 5 HR, 17 RBI, 15 runs and 8 stolen bases. Adams drew 21 walks and struck out just 15 times in 84 plate appearances.
Selected in the 12th round of the 2022 First-Year Player Draft out of Hinsdale Central (IL) High School, Adams led the Midwest League in RBI (17), on-base percentage (.536), OPS (1.124) and walks (21) in July. He ranked among leaders for the month in HR (T2nd, 5), slugging percentage (2nd, .588) and stolen bases (T4th, 8).
Yoho, 24, did not allow an earned run (2 unearned runs) in 10.0 innings over 9 relief appearances for Double-A Biloxi in July. He struck out 19 of the 44 batters he faced, and opponents batted just .179 (7-for-39) against him.
Drafted in the eighth round of the 2023 First-Year Player Draft out of Indiana University, Yoho notched saves on July 1 vs. Mississippi and July 6 at Mississippi and earned a win on July 14 at Chattanooga. He allowed just two baserunners over his last 4 outings in July (4ip, 1h, 0r, 1bb, 8k).
Made, 17, batted .371/.494/.581 (23-for-62) with 3 doubles, 2 triples, 2 HR, 8 RBI, 22 runs and 15 stolen bases in 18 games for the Rookie DSL Brewers 1 in July. Made has won the organization’s Complex League Player of the Month award in each of his two months as a professional as he also took home the honor for June.
Made ranked among Dominican Summer League leaders for the month in runs (T2nd, 22), stolen bases (T2nd, 15), on-base percentage (6th, .494), OPS (6th, 1.075), batting average (7th, .371) and slugging percentage (8th, .581).
Bravo, 17, went 2-0 with a 0.44 ERA (20.1ip, 1er) and 19 strikeouts in 5 appearances (2 starts) for the Rookie DSL Brewers 1 in July. He posted a 0.84 WHIP and allowed opponents to bat just .164 (11-for-67) against him.
The Brewers signed Made and Bravo as a non-drafted free agents out of the Dominican Republic in January.
