Brewers announce 2024 Robin Yount Performance Awards
MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers today announced their 2024 Robin Yount Performance Awards, naming infielders Cooper Pratt and Jesús Made (MAH-day) as co-Minor League Players of the Year and right-handed pitchers Craig Yoho and K.C. Hunt as co-Minor League Pitchers of the Year.
Pratt, 20, split the regular season between Low-A Carolina (73g) and High-A Wisconsin (23g), batting .277/.362/.406 with 15 doubles, 3 triples, 8 HR, 45 RBI, 56 runs and 27 stolen bases.
Ranked as Milwaukee’s No. 2 prospect and No. 58 overall by MLB Pipeline, Pratt began 2024 at Carolina where he batted .295/.394/.395 with 11 doubles, 3 triples, 3 HR, 36 RBI, 43 runs and 25 stolen bases in 73 games to earn Carolina League All-Star honors at utility.
Pratt was promoted to Wisconsin on July 30 and hit 5 HR in 23 games with the Timber Rattlers. After helping Wisconsin reach the Midwest League Championship Series, Pratt was elevated to Double-A Biloxi for the Southern League Division Series.
The Brewers selected Pratt in the sixth round of the 2023 First-Year Player Draft out of Magnolia Heights (MS) High School. He represented Milwaukee at the 2024 All-Star Futures Game at Globe Life Field in Texas.
Made, 17, batted .331/.458/.554 with 9 doubles, 6 triples, 6 HR, 28 RBI, 63 runs and 28 stolen bases in 51 games for the DSL Brewers 1 in 2024. He drew 39 walks with just 28 strikeouts in 216 plate appearances.
Made earned Dominican Summer League midseason and postseason All-Star honors as he led the league in runs (63) and ranked among leaders in triples (T3rd, 6), total bases (T3rd, 97), OPS (8th, 1.012) and slugging percentage (10th, .554).
Ranked as Milwaukee’s No. 3 prospect and No. 81 overall by Baseball America, Made ranked among organizational leaders in OPS (2nd, 1.012), slugging percentage (2nd, .554), triples (T2nd, 6), batting average (3rd, .331), on-base percentage (3rd, .458), runs (T8th, 63) and stolen bases (T8th, 28).
The Brewers signed Made as a non-drafted free agent out of the Dominican Republic in January.
Yoho, 24, went 4-2 with a 0.94 ERA (57.2ip, 6er), 101 strikeouts and 10 saves in 48 relief appearances between Wisconsin (16g), Biloxi (18g) and Triple-A Nashville (14g) in 2024. His 101 strikeouts were fifth most among all Minor League relievers this season. He is the first player in franchise history to earn Minor League Pitcher of the Year after spending the entire season as a reliever.
Selected in the eighth round of the 2023 First-Year Player Draft out of Indiana University, Yoho went 1-0 with a 0.44 ERA (20.1ip, 1er), 37 strikeouts and 7 saves in 16 appearances with Wisconsin.
Yoho was named a Midwest League All-Star despite being promoted to Biloxi on May 30. In 18 outings with the Shuckers, he went 2-1 with a 1.17 ERA (23ip, 3er), 46 strikeouts and 2 saves. Yoho was moved up to Nashville on Aug. 6 and went 1-1 with a 1.26 ERA (14.1ip, 2er), 18 strikeouts and 1 save in 14 appearances.
Hunt, 24, went 8-3 with a 2.03 ERA (102ip, 23er) and 1 save in 25 appearances (14 starts) between Carolina (8g), Wisconsin (11g, 8gs) and Biloxi (6gs) this season. He finished second in the organization in strikeouts (139) and issued just 25 walks between the three levels.
Hunt began the season with Carolina, going 3-0 with a 1.42 ERA (19ip, 3er), 32 strikeouts and 1 save in 8 appearances out of the bullpen. He was promoted to Wisconsin on May 14 and went 4-1 with a 2.15 ERA (50.1ip, 12er) and 68 strikeouts over 11 outings (8 starts).
Elevated to Biloxi on Aug. 6, Hunt made 6 starts for the Shuckers, posting a 2.20 ERA (32.2ip, 8er) with 39 strikeouts. He pitched Biloxi to a 5-1 win over Montgomery in Game 2 of the Southern League Division Series, allowing just 1 run on 3 hits with 5 strikeouts over 7.2 innings.
The Brewers signed Hunt as a non-drafted free agent out of Mississippi State University in 2023.
