Blake Parker signed

CLEVELAND, OH – The Cleveland Indians today announced the signing of free agent RHP BLAKE PARKER (#53) to a Minor League contract with a non-roster invitation to Major League camp.

Parker, 35, owns an eight-year Major League career ERA of 3.52 and 34 saves over 303 appearances (3GS, 301.2IP, 258H, 118ER, 99BB, 346SO, .229 avg) with the Chicago Cubs, Seattle Mariners, New York Yankees, Los Angeles Angels, Minnesota Twins and Philadelphia Phillies. The Fayetteville, AR native owns a career 10.3 SO/9 and 1.18 WHIP (BB+H/IP) since debuting with the Cubs in 2012. He posted a combined 2.90 ERA and 24 saves in 138 outings with the LA Angels in 2017-18 and last season split the campaign between the Philadelphia bullpen and their Alternate Training Site, posting a 2.81 ERA and 14.1 SO/9 over 14 outings (5ER/16.0IP, .203 avg).

Cleveland currently has 14 non-roster invitees to Major League camp and 72 players in the 2021 player pool.
