Astros return home for six-game homestand against the Texas Rangers and Oakland A's
HOUSTON, Texas – The Astros return home to Minute Maid Park for a six-game homestand, Aug. 9-14, as the Texas Rangers come to town for a three-game series and the Oakland A’s for another three.
It is an action-packed homestand, with Astros Hall of Fame Weekend, presented by Houston Methodist set for Aug. 12-14, along with Uvalde Strong Day on Aug. 14. Giveaway highlights include a Billy Wagner Throwback Jersey, a Terry Puhl bobblehead and a replica Astrodome.

Tuesday, Aug. 9: Astros vs. Texas Rangers: 7:10 p.m. CT
The Astros open up the six-game homestand with game one of a three-game series with the Rangers on Tuesday at 7:10 p.m.
It is Tuesday, which means it is Dollar Dog Night presented by Texas Chili Company. Fans are treated to unlimited hot dogs that are one dollar apiece all game long.
Wednesday, Aug. 10: Astros vs. Texas Rangers: 7:10 p.m. CT
The Astros continue the three-game series against the Rangers with game two at 7:10 p.m. on Wednesday.
Thursday, Aug. 11: Astros vs. Texas Rangers: 1:10 p.m. CT
Game three of the series against the Rangers is set for 1:10 p.m. on Thursday. The game will be televised live on YouTube TV.
Houston Rockets guard Josh Christopher will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.
In honor of the MLB at Field of Dreams Game, Wednesday is Movie Day, presented by Securian Financial. Fans at the game are encouraged to stay after the game and move to the third base side seating in the lower bowl to watch Field of Dreams. All seats will become general admission for the movie, which will start approximately 20 minutes following the end of the game.
There is also a Movie Day field add-on package, which allows fans to watch the movie from the field and comes with a custom Movie Night Blanket, as well as unlimited access to soda and popcorn to enjoy while watching the movie for $50. Friday, Aug. 12: Astros vs. Oakland A’s: 7:10 p.m. CT
The Astros open a three-game series with the A’s and Astros Hall of Fame Weekend, presented by Houston Methodist on Friday, Aug. 12.
As the Astros continue to celebrate the 60**th** anniversary of professional baseball in Houston, the decade of the 2000s will be celebrated on Flashback Friday. 10,000 fans will receive a Billy Wagner 2000s Brick Red Throwback Jersey, presented by Houston Methodist.
In honor of Flashback Friday to the 2000s, former Astros outfielder Willy Taveras will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.
Friday Night Fireworks presented by ConocoPhillips are set for postgame, featuring the musical theme of hits from the 2000s. Friday Night Fireworks are subject to weather. In the event a show must be cancelled due to weather, refunds will not be granted.
Pregame Happy Hour presented by Budweiser will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Michelob Ultra Bar. Fans can enjoy $5 Ultra Drafts, a live D.J. and amazing views.
Saturday, Aug. 13: Astros vs. Oakland A’s: 6:10 p.m. CT
The Astros continue to celebrate Hall of Fame Weekend, presented by Houston Methodist on Saturday, Aug. 13, as the Astros Hall of Fame Class of 2022, outfielder Terry Puhl and former front office executive Tal Smith, are officially inducted in a pregame ceremony that will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Sunday, Aug. 14: Astros vs. Oakland A’s: 1:10 p.m. CT
The Astros continue to celebrate Hall of Fame Weekend, presented by Houston Methodist as they close out the three-game series with the A’s and the six-game homestand on Sunday. 10,000 fans receive a Replica Astrodome, presented by Houston Methodist.
The Astros will also welcome the community of Uvalde, Texas, to Minute Maid Park for Uvalde Strong Day on Sunday. Along with giving away thousands of tickets to the game to the citizens of Uvalde, Texas, 500 citizens will be bussed in on 10 buses from Uvalde for a unique gameday experience as the Astros are committed to the continued healing of the community of Uvalde through the game of baseball.
A pregame ceremony and ceremonial first pitch will be part of Uvalde Strong Day.
During the game fans can purchase Uvalde Strong t-shirts, with all proceeds going to Uvalde Strong efforts. The winner of the 50/50 raffle on Sunday will win $10,000 dollars, with the rest of the funds going to Uvalde Strong initiatives. All fans that purchase 50/50 raffles over $100 will receive a Uvalde Strong wristband.
Kid’s Run the Bases, presented by Olshan Foundation Solutions, will occur for all kids in attendance ages 5-12 after the game.
H-TOWN ARTIST SHOWCASE MURAL SERIES
*The *third mural in the H-Town Artist Showcase series is now on display in The Woodlands at The Woodlands Town Center, across from the Woodlands Market H-E-B (9595 Six Pines Road, The Woodlands, TX 77380). The mural, painted by local Houston artist, Franky Cardona (IG: @frankycardona) features Astros Manager Dusty Baker, surrounded by his players who were selected as 2022 MLB All-Stars.
