Astros sign outfielder Lewis Brinson to minor league contract
WEST PALM BEACH, FL - The Astros have signed outfielder Lewis Brinson to a minor league contract, General Manager James Click announced today. The deal includes an invite to Major League Spring Training camp. Brinson arrived at the Astros Spring Training facility in West Palm Beach this morning.
Brinson has spent parts of five seasons in the Major Leagues, first with Milwaukee (2017) before spending the last four seasons with the Marlins (2018-21). In 2021, Brinson appeared in 89 games for the Marlins, hitting .226 with nine home runs and 33 RBI. Primarily a centerfielder, he has played 214 of his 341 career games in center.
