Arizona Diamondbacks 2024 Opening Day tomorrow, important know-before-you-go details for fans
The Arizona Diamondbacks kick off their 2024 season tomorrow with Opening Day at home vs. the Colorado Rockies at 7:10 p.m. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to Chase Field to avoid traffic delays and road closures and to make sure they receive the full Opening Day experience including a flyover from the Luke Air Force Base, ceremonial first pitch from Arizona Cardinals legend Kurt Warner and much more.

Game: Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Colorado Rockies
When: Thursday, March 28 │ 7:10 p.m. │ D-backs RHP Zac Gallen vs. Rockies LHP Kyle Freeland
Where: Chase Field
Gates Open: 5:00 p.m. to general public. Advantage Members early gates at 4:30 p.m.
In Seats: Fans are encouraged to arrive early and be in their seats by 6:00 p.m. to enjoy the Opening Day festivities.
Promotional Item: The first 40,000 fans will receive a N.L. Champions Rally Towel courtesy of Pepsi to commemorate the day and celebrate the reigning N.L Champions.

Roof: The roof is expected to be open, weather permitting. Weather forecast predicts 83 degrees and partly cloudy skies with temperatures dropping throughout the night. Fans should dress accordingly.
Ceremonial First Pitch: Arizona Cardinals legend and Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Named first-team All-Pro twice and selected to four Pro Bowls, Warner racked up 32,344 career yards, threw 208 touchdowns and recorded a 93.7 career passer rating. In 2008, Warner led the Arizona Cardinals to the franchise’s first division title since 1975 and its first-ever Super Bowl appearance. The pitch will be caught by Hall of Famer and D-backs legend Randy Johnson.
National Anthem: The national anthem will be performed by Goodyear native and retired U.S. Navy Petty Officer First Class Steven Powell.
Flyover: Unit: Luke Air Force Base – 63rd Fighter Squadron. Aircraft: 4 x F-35. This flyover will be led by Lt. Colonel Jeremy “Thumper” Hedges and will be his last flyover before he retires after 21 years of service, having flown over 2,900 hours in the F-35, F-16 and T-37.
Color Guard: The Luke Air Force Base Honor Guard will present the colors for the National Anthem.
Street Closure: Third Street is closed between Monroe and Washington for the NCAA Fan Fest through April 10.

Clear Bag Policy: The Clear Bag Policy is in effect. All bags greater than 4”x6” must be clear. Information on the policy can be found here. The D-backs have teamed up with BinBox to provide a secure, convenient storage option for fans with non-approved bags to store for a fee, located on the NW plaza.
Fan Entry – MLB Ballpark app: Chase Field utilizes mobile and contactless entry through the MLB Ballpark App. Before arriving, fans are encouraged to download the MLB Ballpark, make sure their phones are fully charged and have their ticket ready on their mobile device. Fan Screening: Getting fans into the ballpark safely and more efficiently is a priority. Chase Field will continue to utilize OPENGATE: a safe, fast, automatic & unprecedented screening system that does away with unloading bags, backpacks and purses. Fans will pass effortlessly through the gates to their seats in record speed like never before.
Guy Fieri’s DTPHX Kitchen + Bar: Guy Fieri’s DTPHX Kitchen + Bar, located in the Caesars Sportsbook at Chase Field, will have extended hours Opening Day, with food service closing at 9:00 p.m., bar service ending at 1:00 a.m. and live music after the game from 9:30 p.m. – 12: 00 a.m. Learn more at dbacks.com/dtphx.
Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers: Fans can purchase tickets to watch the game from the patio at Cold Beers and Cheeseburgers at dbacks.com/CBCB.
Bourbon & Bones Cocktail Lounge: Now open for gamedays, Bourbon & Bones Cocktail lounge offers a unique dining experience featuring upscale cuisine and cocktails. Reservations are highly recommended, but not required, and can be made online here.
Food & Beverage Highlights: Chase Field has many new and exciting food and beverage options this season. Making their debut during the 2023 World Series, both the Apple Pie Chimichanga (Churro Dog HQ) and the Millionaire Steak Sandwich (Taste of Chase) will return as staple items for the 2024 season. Also new this year are the XL Footlong Sonoran Style Dog and Korean Pork Belly Nachos (Taste of Chase), Chimichurri Tri Tip Sandwich (Carvery Cart), BBQ Brisket Sandwich and Brisket Nachos (D-backs BBQ Alley) plus many more.
New Food & Beverage Locations: The D-backs have added new experiences to the dining options at Chase Field, including a new, prominent home for the world-famous Churro Dog, Churro Dog HQ at Section 129, Loaded Nacho Cart at Section 318, Taqueria Los D-backs at Section 123, Serpientes Cantina at Section 110, Chef Tilder’s Gyros at Section 120, three new Grab n’ Go locations at Sections 113, 126 and 134 and many more.
