A’s Reinstate OF Laureano from IL; DFA IF/OF Tyler Wade

OAKLAND, Calif. — The Oakland A’s reinstated outfielder Ramón Laureano from the 10-day injured list and designated infielder/outfielder Tyler Wade for assignment, the club announced today.

Laureano was placed on the IL retroactive to April 17 due to a strained left groin, missing 11 games. He began the season on the A’s Opening Day roster and was hitting .218 with four doubles, a triple, two home runs and four RBI in 15 games before the injury. He made one rehab appearance with Triple-A Las Vegas, going 3-for-3 with a double on Thursday.

Wade was a non-roster invitee with the A’s this spring and hit .275 with four RBI and five stolen bases in 25 spring games. After he was selected on April 14, Wade played in 10 games for Oakland, going 1-for-13 (.077) with four steals.
