A's team up with Nickelodeon, After-School All-Stars for Worldwide Day of Play
The Oakland A's have teamed up with Nickelodeon and the After-School All-Stars to host a Worldwide Day of Play event in A Lot at the Oakland Coliseum on Saturday, Sept. 8, from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oakland marks the fifth stop of Nickelodeon's summer-long play campaign -- a multi-city tour that celebrates all the ways kids love to play -- and the first ever stop in the Bay Area.
The slime-filled event will feature Nickelodeon-themed games and activities, including an inflatable obstacle course, Nick bowling, a slime booth, costumed characters, a Nick radio dance party, and more. The event is free and open to all fans with a game ticket.
Additionally, prior to the 1:05 p.m. game versus the New York Yankees, kids from After-School All-Stars Bay Area's after-school programs will participate in an on-field parade. One of the program's scholars will throw out the ceremonial first pitch with SpongeBob.
Worldwide Day of Play is part of Nickelodeon's ongoing health and wellness efforts and continues the network's legacy of promoting positive messages to its kid audience. On Sept. 29, Nickelodeon will celebrate its 15th annual Worldwide Day of Play, when the network will use its platforms to encourage kids to go outside and play.
